Christmas Bicycle Program

The Hall County Sheriff's Office Christmas Bicycle Program was established in 1997 by the deputies and staff of the Court Services Division as a community outreach activity. This program is funded by donations from deputies, staff, Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy alumni, and donations from the community. Court Services personnel accept donations throughout the year and purchase as many bicycles as possible with these funds.

The goal of the program is for every child possible to have something to call their own on Christmas morning. What better gift than a brand new bicycle and a helmet? The Court Services Division partners with local churches, schools, CASA, and the Gateway House to establish contact with families that may have a need for this service. Just before Christmas, parents are able to arrangement for pick-up or delivery of bicycles so the children have a surprise waiting for them on Christmas morning.
