Citizens Academy - Offered each Fall

The Hall County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy is an interactive program designed to inform citizens about the role of the Sheriff's Office in our community and allow them to gain firsthand knowledge about the inner workings of the department. The program is conducted in both classroom and field demonstration formats, with voluntary limited participation.

What to Expect

Upon acceptance into the program, participants can expect informative sessions that examine all aspects of the Sheriff's Office, presented by Deputies that are among the department's most knowledgeable and well-trained.

While citizens will be exposed to the exciting aspects of law enforcement work, they will also become familiarized with some of the processes that are much less glamorous but no less vital to the daily operation of the agency.

It should be noted that the Citizens Academy is an informational program only. At no time will participants be expected or permitted to act in a law enforcement capacity, and successful completion of the program does not certify them as a law enforcement officer in any way.
